Vajra Rubber Products is a fully integrated manufacturer with 15 distinct manufacturing capabilities under one roof. From raw polymer compounding to precision moulding, composite layup, and final quality validation — every process is controlled in-house to ensure consistent quality, reduced lead times, and complete traceability.
Our facility spans over 50,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, housing equipment sourced from leading global manufacturers. This integrated approach allows us to serve industries with the most demanding quality and documentation requirements, including aerospace (ISRO, DRDL), defense (Indian Navy), oil & gas, and automotive OEMs.

Rubber Compounding
In-house rubber compounding laboratory and mixing facility where raw elastomers are blended with fillers, plasticizers, curing agents, and stabilizers to create proprietary compounds tailored to specific application requirements. Our compounding team develops and maintains formulations across NR, NBR, HNBR, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, and specialty polymer systems.
Research & Development Laboratory
Dedicated R&D laboratory staffed with polymer scientists and materials engineers focused on new material development, compound optimization, and application engineering. The laboratory conducts polymer characterization, failure analysis, accelerated aging studies, and material qualification testing for customer programs.
Tool Design & Development Lab
Full-service tool design and fabrication facility where mould tools are designed using CAD/CAM software and manufactured in-house. This capability enables rapid tool development, modifications, and maintenance, reducing customer lead times and ensuring dimensional accuracy of moulded components.
Fabrication & Engineering
Engineering workshop for rubber and composite fabrication, including cutting, bonding, and assembly of large-format rubber components, expansion joints, and fender systems. Equipped with industrial cutting tables, bonding presses, and assembly fixtures for building complex multi-component products.
Grit Blasting
Surface preparation facility using grit blasting to achieve optimal surface profiles for rubber-to-metal bonding, composite layup adhesion, and surface cleaning. Controlled abrasive blasting ensures consistent surface roughness critical for bond strength and component performance.
Rubber Molding
Core manufacturing capability encompassing compression, transfer, injection, and progressive moulding processes. Our rubber moulding shop operates presses ranging from 50 to 4,000 metric tons, capable of producing components from small precision seals to the world's largest butterfly valve seats at 108 inches diameter.
Plastic Injection Molding
Plastic injection moulding facility with machines ranging from 250g to 1,000g shot capacity for manufacturing thermoplastic and thermoset components. This capability enables Vajra to supply complete assemblies combining rubber, plastic, and metal elements from a single source.
Carbon Composite Molding
Advanced carbon composite moulding facility for manufacturing high-performance fiber-reinforced polymer structures. Capabilities include hand layup, prepreg processing, resin infusion, and autoclave curing of complex composite geometries for aerospace, defense, and marine applications.
European Autoclave
State-of-the-art European-manufactured autoclave for high-pressure, high-temperature curing of carbon composite structures and rocket motor linings. This critical equipment enables the production of flight-qualified composite components for ISRO and defense programs.
Clean Room
Controlled-environment clean room facility for manufacturing rubber and composite components requiring high levels of cleanliness. The clean room supports production of FDA-approved, NSF-listed, and medical-grade components for food contact, pharmaceutical, and healthcare applications.
Quality Assurance Lab
Comprehensive quality assurance laboratory equipped for dimensional inspection, material testing, and performance validation. Instruments include hardness testers, tensile machines, environmental chambers, optical measurement systems, and non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment for incoming material, in-process, and final inspection.
Plasma Treatment
Surface plasma treatment system for enhancing the surface energy and adhesion properties of rubber and composite components. Plasma treatment improves bonding, coating, and printing adhesion on surfaces that are otherwise difficult to bond or mark.
CNC Tool Room
CNC machining center for precision machining of mould tools, metal inserts, and prototype components. Equipped with multi-axis CNC milling and turning machines for producing complex geometries to tight tolerances in tool steel, aluminum, and engineering plastics.
Compression / Transfer / Progressive / Injection Molding
Full range of rubber moulding technologies deployed across our production floor. Compression moulding for large and complex parts, transfer moulding for precision seals, progressive moulding for high-volume small parts, and injection moulding for complex geometries with tight tolerances.
Finite Element Analysis
In-house FEA (Finite Element Analysis) capability for virtual prototyping and performance simulation of rubber and composite components. FEA enables optimization of component geometry, material selection, and tool design before physical prototyping, reducing development time and cost while improving part performance.

3.8m x 3.8m platen, 4,000 MT clamping force
Our flagship 3.8m x 3.8m hydraulic press with 4,000 metric ton clamping capacity is among the largest rubber moulding presses in Asia. This capability enables production of ultra-large rubber components including the world's largest butterfly valve seats and industrial expansion joints that cannot be manufactured on conventional equipment.

European Autoclave
High-pressure, high-temperature curing for aerospace components
High-pressure, high-temperature European-manufactured autoclave specifically installed for curing rocket motor linings and advanced carbon composite structures. This equipment meets the stringent process control and documentation requirements of aerospace and defense programs, including ISRO and Indian Navy specifications.

Versatile plastic injection moulding machine with 250g to 1,000g shot capacity for manufacturing thermoplastic and thermoset components.
